MEET AUDAX COACHES
Coach Efren Pineda
Coach Efren grew up playing competitive soccer from U8 all the way through U19 and also played competitive futsal from U15 to U19. He later played in junior college locally at Gavilan College for 2 years and then continued to play as a hobby, playing pick-up and local outdoor and indoor leagues.
Coach Efren has been coaching soccer for about 8 years. He started as a volunteer at local middle schools, transitioning to competitive soccer as a trainer. He began working with the younger teams at local clubs and other clubs in the Bay Area and has been coaching competitive since. After spending three years as an assistant and running the junior varsity program for the Gilroy High School, he was named head coach of the program and helped them reach a League Championship, as well as back-to-back play-off runs. He began working with Audax Soccer club in 2019 and has helped grow the club as a head coach for the U8 Boys and U19 Girls. Coach Efren is also the head coach of various recreational programs through the City of Gilroy as well as the Audax Pre-Comp Academy.
In Coach Efren’s free time he likes to be adventurous and go out to beach, hike, mountain bike or attend professional and college sporting. As well as spending time with family watching a movie or cooking. He is a supporter of Club America in Mexico, as well as the San Jose Earthquakes. He also enjoys talking to people about sports, car, computers, and who has the best tacos in town!
Coach Efren is currently licensed through the US Soccer Education System, holding a D License. He also obtained an AA degree in Kinesiology and is completing his Bachelor’s in sports management.
Coach Allison Bass
Allison grew up in the community and has been coaching youth soccer for over 12 years. During that time, she has had the pleasure of working with a variety of players and teams on both the recreational and competitive side, ages U4-U18. She is passionate about the sport and providing a quality experience to all players.
Coach Allison is currently the head coach for the Junior-Dax I and II Programs in Morgan Hill and the Mini- Dax Program with the City of Gilroy. She is also head coach for the Girls Audax Pre-Comp Academy.
When coach Allison is not coaching, she manages to squeeze in some time to play soccer herself and spend time with her 3 kids, who aren’t really kids anymore!
Besides all her experience coaching, Allison also holds several coaching licenses, such as, US Soccer E License, US soccer D License, NSCAA Junior Level V Diploma, NSCAA Youth Level IV Diploma and CNRA referee license.
Coach Emma Bass
Emma Bass, is a first year college student who has been playing soccer since the age of five. She found a love for coaching when she was fifteen and decided to help out with a youth girls team. Emma grew a strong connection with that team and have continued coaching ever since. She has worked with various clubs in the community growing her abilities as a coach and enjoy working with younger ages as I can be a core part of their first steps of building a strong developmental foundation.
Coach Emma started working for Audax in 2021 with the recreational program. She currently runs the Mini-Dax Program in Morgan Hill and work as an assistant coach for the Junior-Dax Programs with the City of Gilroy.
